Ideal® Apple Butter Spread

Servings: 64

4 lbs (12 c) cooking apples (Macintosh, Jonagold, Northern Spy) -  washed, unpeeled, cored, cut into quarters
½ c Ideal® No Calorie Sweetener
1 tsp cinnamon
1 pinch ground cloves
¼ tsp ground allspice


  1. Place quartered apples into a crock pot; cook covered until soft (about 4-5 hours).
  2. Remove from crock pot and press apples through a sieve or food mill to remove skins and seeds.
  3. Stir in Ideal®, cinnamon, cloves and allspice.
  4. Return to crock pot and cook uncovered on low 3-4 hours until dark in color
    (mixture will reduce to about 4 cups).
  5. Spoon into clean jars, leaving 1” headroom; cover with lids and freeze for later or refrigerate for use over next several weeks.
